Do I have to pay anything upfront for the hardware?

No. Whether you choose The Local Launch or The Digital Retainer, the pre-configured counter tablet and thermal ticket printer are supplied completely free of charge on loan for as long as your service is active.

How long does setup take?

A standard rollout — from initial menu-mapping to your first printed kitchen ticket — takes roughly 10 to 14 business days. We hand-code our WordPress sites for maximum speed and Google ranking power, so we don't rush it.

Do customers need to download an app?

No app needed. Customers order directly through your website on any device — phone, tablet or desktop. The ordering system runs entirely in the browser.

What happens if an order comes in when we're too busy?

You stay in control. From your counter tablet you can reject individual orders, extend delivery or collection times, and add a busy-period notice — all in real time, without calling anyone.

Can I still stay on JustEat or Deliveroo while I switch?

Absolutely. Many takeaways run both in parallel during the transition. Once you see the direct orders coming through, most decide to reduce or cancel the platforms entirely — but that is entirely your call, at your own pace.

What if I want to change my menu prices?

On The Digital Retainer we handle up to 3 menu updates per month as part of your package — just send us the changes and we sort it. On The Local Launch we can train you to manage it yourself, or handle updates at our standard hourly rate.

Is there a delivery charge feature?

Yes. Ordering Direct lets you set delivery fees by postcode zone or radius, minimum order values, and separate collection discounts. This gets configured during the Ordering Direct onboarding process as part of your setup.
