These terms apply to your use of the Pulsar Web Works website (pulsarwebworks.co.uk) and to any design, development, SEO or related services we provide. By using our site or engaging us, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

Pulsar Web Works is a web design and digital services studio based in Tiptree, Essex. You can reach us at general@pulsarwebworks.co.uk.

2. Our services and quotes

Every project is quoted individually based on your requirements. Any quote or estimate is based on the information available at the time and the scope agreed. A separate proposal or project agreement will set out the specific services, deliverables, fees and timescales before work begins.

3. Fees and payment

Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is payable before work starts, with the balance due on or before completion (larger projects may be split into stages). Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. We reserve the right to pause work or withhold delivery where invoices remain unpaid, and to charge interest on overdue amounts as permitted by law.

4. Project scope and revisions

We agree the scope of each project up front. A reasonable number of revisions is included as set out in your proposal; significant changes beyond the agreed scope may be quoted separately.

5. Your responsibilities

To keep your project on track, you agree to provide the content, images, access and approvals we need in good time, and to ensure you have the right to use any materials you supply to us.

6. Timescales

We give you a realistic timeline and do our best to meet it, but timescales depend on project complexity, our current workload and your timely input. Quality always comes first.

7. Communication and availability

A free initial consultation of up to one hour is included for new enquiries, conducted by phone, video call or in person by arrangement.

Once a project is underway, consultation time is included as follows: up to 2 hours for Starter projects; up to 4 hours for Standard, Professional and Store projects; as agreed in writing for Bespoke and Enterprise work. Monthly retainers (SEO, social media, maintenance) include up to 30 minutes of consultation per calendar month.

All scheduled calls are by appointment only, arranged in advance via email. Email is our primary communication channel during a project. We do not accept unscheduled calls as a primary means of project communication and are not obliged to respond to messages sent via personal social media accounts, WhatsApp or other informal channels.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. We aim to respond to emails within 2 working days. We are not obliged to respond to communications received outside these hours, at weekends or on public holidays.

Consultation time beyond the amount included in your project is charged at £60 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments and invoiced monthly. We will notify you before exceeding your included allocation wherever practicable.

Any assistance provided outside business hours is entirely at our discretion and does not set a precedent or create any obligation to provide out-of-hours support in future.

8. Cancellation

If you cancel a project after work has started, any deposit is non-refundable and you will be invoiced for the work completed up to that point.

9. Intellectual property

On full payment, ownership of the final website and bespoke design work we create for you transfers to you — except for any third-party components, stock assets, fonts or software, which remain subject to their own licences. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio and marketing unless you ask us not to.

10. Third-party services

Projects may rely on third-party services such as hosting, plugins, payment providers or fonts. These are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or performance.

11. Use of this website

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to damage or disrupt it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it. Unauthorised use may give rise to a claim for damages or be a criminal offence.

12. Website content

All content on this website — text, graphics, logos, images and code — is the property of Pulsar Web Works or its suppliers, and may not be reproduced without our written permission.

13. Disclaimer

This website is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about its completeness, accuracy or availability, and exclude such liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pulsar Web Works will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our services. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Privacy and cookies

We handle your data in line with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the one that applies.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
